quick question on fabric lengths to order: I want to have a 3/4 length overcoat made, hitting between the kneecap and waist

I'm a suit size 42 regular

would 3.25 yards work if the fabric has no pattern to match and it's a simple single button coat (not double breasted)?

Yes, should be fine.

For the flannel project - I still think 19.19 is the best. @gdl203, could you maybe take a picture of the swatch next to some of the 520 Fresco, since that's a cloth that a lot of people have some familiarity with? That might give the best sense of the color.

After this first project, maybe we can do something in a little bit more of a "soft serve" color similar to the other swatches for those who favor that shade.

520 from the old Fresco I book? I'm not sure which of the blues that is now because all the stickers have peeled off. I can compare to some Fresco II swatches if you want.

In the meantime, it seemed logical to compare it to 519 in the Fresco I book (the sand/beige color).

I think the current Formosas are in the same shade as the old 520? I could be wrong though. In any case, I really like the look of the flannel from that photo.

That color looks great to me. I'm not sure why people have reservations about it. Greg noted that it has a slightly beige-ish color, and it seems close to khaki chinos to my eye. If khakis are easy to wear, why wouldn't these be?

The colors of Fresco II don't line up perfectly with the ones from Fresco I. What we're using for our Formosa fresco suits is 104347, which is dubbed "Navy" on the swatch. When you look at it closely next to the various blues in Fresco I, it is not a perfect match and in between two of the old colors.

Ah, ok gotcha. In any case, I agree with Derek, this color is money and you guys don't even know it. Let's move forward just trying to get this done in a 14/15 oz weight woolen flannel.

That pic is helpful. I like the 19.19 now.

What are the numbers for the left and right sample? Thanks!

I am on board, these look similar to my current Incotex flannels which do get a ton of wear.

I would not be opposed to a follow up run in something darker too, I think 23 or even like jrd617 Howard Yount's would be swell.
