What is a bilateral pocket?
I assume he means that the external patch pocket is mirrored internally, much like the old tweed hunting coats made on SR. Dege has a great example in their shop.
Yup, you are right. 28425 has a herringbone pattern...not so obvious if you look it from far away while 28433 has no herringbone pattern.
My jacket is half lined but I expect it goes very well with unlined too
I just meant pockets on both sides
Woah, high roller. I usually just get one hip pocket.
Huh, you mean like every other coat??
yes...sorry for making confusion. Actually, I wanted to say "bilateal patch hip pockets and barchetta breast pocket" to distingusih from 3 patch pockets
Looking for thoughts on this fabric, and or a potential source for it or something similar. It is from the newest Sid Mashburn collection by Sartorio in silk/cotton/linen blend.
I don't need it to be the exact cloth, but I would love to source something similar to it. Thank you for your help and expertise.
Drapers Estate In Seta E Lino has a number of brightly patterned silk, wool, and linen blend jacketings, if you're looking for something similar.
Finally gave in, ordered the Minnis 520 AFB. Going to have a jacket made.
Just get the pants too and join the other 343 StyFo members.
What about this Harrisons Mirage wool/silk/linen, which I'm having made up right now? Not the best pic, but should give you a general idea.
I also have a jacket made with Mirage; haven't regretted the fabric choice yet.
Thank you for the suggestion, that coat looks great. I think I am drawn to the teal in the coat for some reason, maybe it is the styling with the tie. Do either of those lines Harrisons Mirage or Drapers Estate In Seta E Lino have a tan/teal combo? I hope I am not asking an impossible question.
