1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I keep thinking I should get one as a matter of principle, but then I think I would have to actually have to wear it. I am waiting to see it looking god in real life. Hasn't happened yet.

I did see a bunch of old guys hanging around today in nice, fluffy looking, luxe fake tweed sport coats. I think I am ok with that, though it would be a first for me.

Something Réginald-Jérôme de Mans would sport, perhaps?

If I had 200 tweed jackets one of those would be my 201.

There is a great photo of Astaire wearing one after tennis. It isn't bad looking per se. But it has fallen so far out of use as to be aggressively eccentric.

Some hip RTW fashion line aimed at younger customers made one last season. Curious on how many they sold.

When they are really small, they might as well not be diamons at all.

Paul Stuart seems to always have a parquet patterned tweed in their fall/winter collection.

Only if you rotate them 90 degrees.

Which gives me an idea for Pitti 2015...

I do - medium/dark brown flannel from Harrisons. Wanted something neutral to add to multiple grey flannels. I find brown reasonably versatile. If I could find a nice tan flannel I would get that too.

That would make considerably more sense than what I wrote.

Can we all now agree that we have spoken enough about diamond patterned cloth for 2014?
