The herringbone is much more common. You haven't seen any alternatives in the books that you liked?

One of my mistakes in life was ordering a brown houndstooth tweed jacket. Never wore it, never will.
I didn't want to say for fear of starting a ruckus.
I have one. I love the cloth. The cut is not longer my taste but I can't find the same cloth. If I could, I would get it remade. It's much nicer than any other I have ever seen.
At what point did you realise that?
Eventually I did but I would have preferred the LL version.
Parker (I think it's Parker) has a really nice brown herringbone, I believe from P&H. Nice, rich, and dark. The photo has floated around here a few times. You didn't like that one, David?

Hmm that might have been what I ended up with, not sure. I chose it out of the sheet Steed had.
