I believe the linen solaro was discontinued. Is that up to date?
If the Portofino is sold out, I know that Caccioppoli also makes a wool-linen solaro (or is it only linen?). I’ve only seen pictures so can’t comment about the quality.

It’s linen only. I think it was released this year. The concern, obviously, with a fabric like that is the trousers. I was curious, so I asked Marco his thoughts - he didn’t think they held their crease well. Not enough weight.

I'm looking for suggestions for chocolate brown overcoating (20oz+). It can be plain or with subtle patterns - chocolate and navy comes to mind.

Thanks.

London lounge 1kg cashmere was double faced - chocolate brown and navy. There’s no other right answer haha.

You are correct. My mistake taking pictures of the discontinued Potofino book. Book has been reissued and is mostly solids, all linen, no blends.

1k£* 😂. It went up. I inquired about getting a second length a year or so ago. That inquiry was short-lived.
not to say it isn't worth it, but man...that is a hefty price tag for the fabric! You're almost duty bound to give it to an A+ tailor.

Curious if anybody here has given the Everest the sport coat treatment.

I wasn’t sure if they reissued it. Subsequently to my inquire last year.

I would imagine that your endorsement of the rest of the book, including the plains stands. Do they still have herringbones that make up well? I used fox linen for trousers and those things don’t hold their crease at all. I regret ordering that - especially since I paid bespoke prices for it & don’t wear it!!

I'm not sure if they have more than one range but I recently took delivery of a Caccioppoli 330 gram 100% linen solaro jacket (haven't had the opportunity to wear it yet). I can't speak to how well it would hold up as trousers, though I suspect not as well as one would like.

I believe there was a lighter weight 480gram cashmere as well. I think Andy (style after 50) gave it to sexton to make, if I recall correctly.

Yes, agreed the 1kg cashmere needs to be given to a proper tailor. I think that’s why several give it to kotaro, or qemal. If I recall correctly, kotaro cut 4 of those coats before saying “no more.” He told me it was like stitching a rug because it was so thick! Lol. Also I think it broke his needles.
