thank you, mine, apparently vintage, says # Original Tonik Dormeuil #. If I see both selvedges, I would believe that the addition of "Original" would mean it is a later edition.

What do you think?

My mate collects Tonik from the 60s.

The addition of the “original” probably came to the fact it got wildly popular during that time and a lot of folks tried to copy it, some mohair blends called them selves “tonic”

Not sure if it was exported much too but sometimes what I’ve seen is that the selvedges for exported fabrics are different than the ones distributed in the UK

Yeah, I'm in central Texas these days. I love Lovat, but their stuff is way too heavy. The suit I am finishing is in This fabric. It's 180 gm/m. It's so light and flowy that I'm having it made up as unconstructed as possible.

That's the kind of weight range I'm looking at though. I'm willing to go up to something like 350g/12oz ish but that's going to get really hot and be unwearable for significant portions of the year.
Fox Air, if you have any breeze whatever. For more civilized air conditioning, Glorious Twelfth.

Finding a good gun club has been a struggle for me so I feel your pain. I've seen two I liked and one of them I can't find a source for.
Vox has a jacket made up in a Carlo Barbera for H Lesser red and blue gunclub that is fantastic. I got ahold of a length and was going to have Despos make it up (he's the one with the fabric) but then my life went crazy for some number of years.

Yeah, but I was already in school when I started on the forum, which is how I met Chris. Grad school, while one of the greatest eras of my life, was absolutely terrible for my mental health and well being. After I finished my PhD I adjuncted for a couple of years, then I moved to Austin to become a Scientist for General Motors. I am in a much different place now than I was then.

is there a link to an image of the jacket? from what I remember the tumblr has been scaled back/retired at this point...which is a shame, it was one of my go to style inspirations
I probably have a download of it on an old hard drive in a dead computer. It's been a while since I tried to resurrect the machine I was using when I was actively cataloguing fits and inspirations.
