It is the heaviest jacket I have ever owned, and that includes a 22oz tweed overcoat. It is NOT for summer. I like it a lot, but it's definitely not for the faint of heart.
Thats interesting i thought it would be a more transitional piece. I have the LL ultimate blazer (15/16oz Lambswool/angora hopsack) made up and its easily my most heaviest jacket. Thought the linen hopsack might be a good middle ground. Do you have it full lined?

1/2 lined. It’s unwearable over 50 degrees. I will repeat its the heaviest coat I have ever seen. Period.

I've come to this conclusion too. For me there's no such thing as summer fabric and winter fabric. Anything can be worn between mid fall to mid spring. The other months it's just chinos with polo shirts or SS linen shirts.
Same. I rarely wear a jacket or suit between Memorial Day and Labor Day. It’s usually chinos and a cotton/linen blend or linen shirt, Alden suede LHS or dirty bucks. Sometimes a polo.

Il vecchio drappiere, comes to mind. But it’s a moot point because, like most Italian stores, they’re on holiday for August.

Thought I'd post this here as well...

This is my completed bespoke grey glen plaid suit with subtle yellow stripes. Cloth is from the lighter weight section of the Standeven 'Explorer' bunch.

I actually am quite OK with this cloth... It's relatively light in weight (great for Shanghai's humid summer) but definitely not the most crease-resistant, as you can tell from the 4th photo of me after a full day of sitting and walking.
