I saw the strangest custom suit yesterday.

It was brown, with a rust/orange chalk stripe, except that the stripe was made up of the words, "Tom James." Guy wearing it had the bottom cuff buttons unbuttoned so it was clear that he had working buttons. He had a decent tie, pocket square, and nice shoes, but I just couldn't get past the odd suit fabric. Never seen suiting fabric with a name on it before.

some similarities, it's soft, unpadded, draped, etc. The steed is more waisted and has a fuller chest. The sleeves are quite different, as are the shoulders. Finishing, Solito wins hands down, not that there is anything sloppy about the Steed but the Italians do tend to go crazy with finishing, lapping every seam, etc.

Broke down and ordered a jacket lengths of the RAF and Augusta linens currently on offer from LL. Never thought I'd ever wear linen...

not sure if this is the right thread...I find Harris Tweed a little heavy (typically 16 oz?)..what other material/mill options I should look for a lighter weight for Sports Coat? Thanks

You have yet to wear linen in Atlanta? You're a brave man!

Just made my order with LL. Total haul was oats jacketing, siena jacketing (I'm thinking DB), mocha suit (also thinking DB), taupe suit, and pink, chambray, and sky blue shirting.

Care to share what the LL linen shirting costs per meter? My shirtmaker doesn't carry linen that I like and sourcing it here in Spain can be unpleasant.
