A Shanghai tailor. I disclosed the name in my previous posts.

Here's the styling (from Phineas Cole Fall 2012)

Asked for a lower button point (not much) and slightly lower peak lapels with roped shoulders. Fabric is Made in England, circa 1936, couldn't believe I found it. Weight is something like I've never felt before, heavier than anything I own or have ever handled. If I had to guess, i'd say it's well over 30oz.

Is that coating brown or burgundy? Seems very unconventional for coating, I'd rather get a herringbone donegal for an overcoat. I am sure you can get something good from one of LL special runs if you are looking for something over 30oz.

Its Burgundy with a subtle windowpane in grey I believe. I saw it and fell in love with it, especially knowing how old it was...

It looks chalk stripe on my display, no panes that I can see but if there are, then it makes it more suitable but still am no fan.

I can see the horizontal, but only very faintly. Is that an artifact of the photo, Rob, or is it that subtle IRL? Either way, I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product!

Its VERY subtle. In certain light its pretty clear, I just couldn't find it. Should be done by Halloween.

Looks like a London Lounge summer jacketing.

Oh, and congratulations on clinching a role in Boardwalk Empire. :p

Fox Bros. worsted flannel, reference number FS625/A1291/22, 10/11 oz. I was thinking on making it up as a double breasted suit - my first DB actually.

I have that fabric. A DB would be overkill imo.
