W Bill Phoenix book does have two versions of barleycorn. A larger pattern and a smaller refined version. Have used and like both.
If I find them from another mill, will post here.
I didn't realize there was a larger version in the Phoenix book. I'll see if I can get a photo.

Why don’t you get something started with a mill? You’ll of course be public enemy No. 1 on the London lounge.

Honestly, that is pretty nice. I haven't looked over there for a bit. Is that a new offering? I wonder if/when Lovat will make it available directly.

I did recently knuckle under and get one of the LL fabrics, and yeah, those prices are steep. But Alden has to make some money, so it's all good. I wouldn't object to someone creating a competitor with no markup, but I'm not sure who has the time for that. Not me, unfortunately.

Simon’s linen suit I posted is Dugdale Lisburn - any experience with it?

I have a feeling it might be rebranded Ulster.
Lisburn’s heavier but open plain weave linens are great stuff. Very likely from Ulster but Lisburn has lots of colours that aren’t available from Ulster’s own offering.

No sorry, I ordered those trousers in 2017, I think Dugdale released the Lisburn book after that time.

The LL barleycorn is made by Molloy & Sons I believe. It is beautiful stuff, and has not been run in quite a while.

Oh yeah, I think I’ve actually got other pics saved. Looks great in the photos.

Hemrajani made the coat for me. (It's my first order non-shirt order from them.) Drapers Overcoat was one of several books they showed me after I explained what I was looking for.

You made an excellent choice Sir, and they did a great job!

Enjoy it in health!

Mine is darker and gloomier, but I won't say that the above is inaccurate. If you like the idea, you will almost certainly like the cloth.

Is there anything of interest being developed on the LL? How did the green blazer turn out?

I was interested but ended up not pulling the trigger. It hasn't been delivered yet, but Alden posted a swatch. At least on my monitor, I think it's not dark enough, so I'm glad I didn't commit (though I still have occasional second thoughts about the reverse chalkstripe flannel...)

For anyone who has been following my upcoming Balmacaan-ish coat, any tips before I go to my tailor tomorrow and what to ask? He generally claims to make anything, but I'm uncertain as to his skill of his making a raglan coat and pattern matching.

I wonder if there is any point in asking for a muslin fit first.

FWIW, he has made me great trousers in the past, a safari jacket, shortened the collar of a blazer(collar gap alteration), and narrowed the shoulders of an overcoat. All with great results.

Hey all! Specific search question.

I'm looking for a brown dominant gunclub, preferably with a burgundy or red element or crosscheck. In the 9.5-12 oz range.

Was looking through a bunch of Loro books as well as some Gladson and the Fox website and couldn't quite find anything.

Worsted Alsport 2 had some stuff close.

If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it.

Thanks. I searched through this thread and found one of your old posts saying Paone was making a suit out of Lisburn for you. Have you received it yet and do you have any pics?
