I would go a bit lower...
I live in a similar climate, and find 10oz ok for trousers, especially if your job is quite office bound. If you go for a 10 oz jacket, you can consider having it half lined.
Might be worth it to try the 8oz-9oz Minnis Fresco.
Agreed. The other option is 7-8oz Harrisons mohair.
Do you guys know where i can order the Harrisons Firefly range?
I have good experiences with ordering from Harrison direct. They will deduct VAT as you're outside of the EU, and shipping fees are quite reasonable.
Any experience with Scabal Autumn Leaves ? Are the colors in the Scabal online catalog correct ?
I saw this pic and liked it
When I found the cloth in the Sabal catalog, it turned out to be of a diff color.
Am pretty sure this is right up someone's alley.
so I was working on my new sportcoats which will be launching shortly and I need to pick two fabrics, one will be this navy hopsack (lambswool/cashmere) but I really want the royal blue on the top too
then I am thinking either the darker, more traditional gunclub or the louder one:
A brown hopsack though is so classic too
If you're soliciting opinions, Ed, I vote for the royal, the darker gun club, and would love to see the brown hopsack, too.
Ed, are those LP fabrics? I like the lighter gun club.
Please, tell us more!
yes soliciting, I will probably eventually do all of them, just looking for two for the "launch'.
Not LP, I'll PM you if you are interested, just starting to do business with these guys and not sure how they feel about internet exposure.
sure, I am working on sportcoats which I will be launching shortly.
Sorry, I just went back and read the other threads to get the skinny. I hadn't been paying attention since ties and pants.
Count me in for the hopsacks. Small sizes too?
That brown fabric looks a bit redish to me. The green one bellow looks like a winner to me.
