I bought several trousers lengths of the Crown classic in staple grey and navy with different weave - herringbone, pinheads, hopsack.

Also got a jacket length in brown houndstooth.

That's pretty much exactly what I was looking for. I got a couple of pin stripes and a birdseye grey.

3.3 meters of Lumb's Golden Bale. 390 grams.

2.5 meters of Loro Piano for a spring/summer sport coat. Not sure of the weight.

I'd trade or part with these for the right price.

I saw the new Lesser Golden Bale book. They seem nice to me. Can't tell the difference between the old and the new but I wasn't comparing them side by side. The worsted flannel only in 11oz, no more 13 oz GB flannel. They do have regular worsted in 13 oz though.

So Tip/Top has half a dozen different GB fabrics in stock. Can someone tell me what the story is with this stuff?

I don't know, I think you really need to know your stuff with them and any "discount" fabric shop. I got a few pieces I liked that made up slightly differently than I'd have hoped. Either something off with the weave, or wrinkling...remember its there for a reason. I'm at a point in my wardrobe where if I'm going to add, I'd rather pay for the good stuff and get it right. I just don't know/understand fabrics well enough...if you do, I say happy shopping!

Depends on your tolerance for heat. I think it's too heavy/warm for a summer day
