Has anyone ever used the Dormeuil super brio mohair? I'm thinking about getting a dinner jacket made and would like some comments on drape/durability...etc

I recommend the wool cavalry twill from the Eskdale Trousers collection from Huddersfield Fine Worsted / Minnis. It’s 340g and wears well.

I think sharkskin would be better. Something about the roundness of the birdseye pattern looks off to me as odd trousers. But that's purely subjective.

Argh, I've been looking for some heavyweight sharkskin (16oz) but no luck.

They only have solid twills that are a bit mottled like flannel.
[after a brief trip down the fabric rabbit hole] What about 74162 and 74163. I can't tell exactly what weave they are, but they might work.
