    Hard to tell too much, but it is wool, and it will be soft, but not very heavy.

    Harrisons Icarus might be a reasonable substitute, or W Bill Phoenix. The Minnis Snowflake collections seem to aim at this idea, but I haven't seen them up close, either.

    And whilst I'm asking about cloth has anyone ever used the minnis Irish linen?

    Yes, many times. It is a tad lighter weight than W. Bill but just as good.

    +1 on this. Big fan of the minnis Irish linen, particularly for trousers.

    Yeah can't really buy w bill online so was looking at minnis for some heavyweight Irish linen. I need a change from the near all mohair wardrobe I currently have :)
