I've been going bananas trying to find this Zegna brown linen for a longer than I care to admit:

    https://www.tessin.it/top-brands/er...gildo-zegna.html?___store=en&___from_store=it

But they only seem to have enough for some pants. It also seems pretty pricey for the amount of fabric. I need 3.5-4m- enough for a suit. The dudes at Zegna implied it wasn't made anymore. They wanted to help but didn't really know how to. Anyone have any ideas where I could track this down?

This is a common linen color. Choose another fabric distributor.

I've stayed away from that myself through a fear of appearing to be wearing an ill-fitting jacket (ie boy in his fathers clothes). I'll look into it.

This ebay seller should have some if you email them http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/yorkshirefabric
Or there's Baird McNutt through their online site John Hanna https://jhannaltd.com/collections/glenariff?page=1

I have similar Zegna linen blends on the buy and sell forum.

Ha, you almost knocked over Patrizio in one of those videos. You're a mix between James Earl Jones and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Keep the videos coming.

Suit vlogs, the new successor to photographing your dinner plate?

Always cover the crotch knuckle, lads.

Is there something special about that particular length of linen? If not, you should be able to find a variety of similar shades/colors/weights from other mills and distributors, and for much less money (Holland & Sherry, W. Bill, Ulster, Caccioppoli, etc). Would also recommend looking at a sample in person before committing to a suit length.

I agree Alan Bee's suits look much better in the videos than in the photographs posted earlier, but I still think they are too aggressively fitted.

Why don't you try a slightly roomier, more relaxed fit the next time you order a suit? I'm certain it would look great.

This may be partly the curse (at least from a tailoring perspective) of having a particularly large drop. Something can look too aggressively fitted, but go a bit roomier and you can be swimming in fabric at the waist. It's a tough thing to balance. I suspect if he had a lesser drop, you'd have less of a problem with some of the things you take issue with.

Are these pants low rise? I would say the jacket is a bit short but other pictures seem to differ.

I saw these pics as well. Pants do seem very low compared to what I prefer. Oddly enough, the jacket looks short from the front and perfect from the back.

It;s surprising to see that after writing the guide to sicilian tailoring, the result is basically department store special. The pants look ready to fall off. Not feeling the Matrix style sunglasses either.

Embrace volume, don't sag, and please cover the crotch knuckle
