    for my taste, that one falls into that realm of not bold enough for a coat but too loud for a suit.

    Sure, I'd also wear it to work on Friday's during the fall/winter. I don't think it would make up that bold - that pattern, especially in flannel, has a way of blending into the background at even a few meters of distance.

    I'd like to see the scale of the pattern bigger if I was going to contemplate wearing it exclusively as a sportcoat. Otherwise it would look like something from Nordstroms.

    For reference, that swatch is about 5.75 inches wide, and 3.75 inches tall.

    7501 is great, safer than 7538.

    7501 is great, safer than 7538.

    What do you mean by safer? The overcheck in the 7501 seems bold.

    Would Minnis 0510 be good for an odd jacket?

    The pattern is very small. I was thinking a DB suit.
