I'm well aware this is the groupthink philosophy. Out of curiosity, why so against it? I think its classic for an English look, especially on an English Country style sportcoat. I hope others could chime in here.

I personally don't mind hacking pockets per se, but I do feel that on fabrics with a busy pattern, such as gun clubs, they accentuate my already large frame (6"3, 227 pounds), especially given the difficulty of good pattern matching. Hence, I tend to opt for jetted pockets on those fabrics, perhaps crescent if I still want that bit of British panache.

    Cheers.

I also seem to remember reading there was some British fabric ebay guy?
Anyone have any idea what his fabrics are like?

Just placed my 520 order and am thinking a DB patch blazersuit to go with the 516 SB blazersuit.

Anyone care to persuade me otherwise?

DB patch blazer suit seems awful impractical, at least in my opinion.

I don't see any way to buy cloth from the Harrison's site, or am I missing something?

You have to contact their local agent for your country: http://www.harrisonsofedinburgh.com/agents.html#, or contact them directly. They don't do web sales.

I was thinking about something like this but with perhaps darker buttons:

Interesting. Curious what changes you're going to make when the two aren't exactly the same.
