Has anyone used H. Lesser No. 306 8/9 oz.? My most recent Chan commission is probably the worst draping out of the 4 suits that I have. Admittedly, this could be that it's my first Chan suit where I didn't have a fitting. The other fabrics that I've used are Minnis Fresco 9/10 oz and 8/9 oz., Dugdale 9/10 oz.. I'm just wondering what other people's experiences have been with No. 306.

Is the fabric vintage or from the current book?
I have one from the current book and it doesn't seem like it drapes well, especially compared to the Minnis Rangoon which also weighs 8/9oz.

Anyone familiar with fabrics from Davol, Umberto Durando or Richad H. Pexton? Wondering if these are just rebranded asian mills as the pexton one was found on a Singaporean website.

Really? I have one from before the Harrison's take over and it's great. It would be discouraging if it is no longer the same.

Unfortunately, I never experienced the ones pre Harrison's acquisition. But I have heard from someone that it is no longer the same as how it used to be.

Anyone have a recommendation for a larger-scale, dark POW suiting? I'm thinking worsted rather than flannel if that exists.

I think POW should be flannel or tweed. I haven't seen an example that looks good as a worsted. For worsted, I think nailhead, sharkskin and Birdseye are better alternatives.

I have a DB in the LL RAF blue POW Piuma. It's ok but not great.

Large scale, no, but I am wearing a nice one from Lesser 13. There used to be a 16 version which was really great but it ran out and they didn't remake it.

There plenty of great worsted glenplaid suits, both light and heavier weights. I kinda disagree there. Especially for the ones with an overcheck.

Would you mind posting pics of your suit? I'm considering the same fabric.

Will do. I'm out of town now, but I will take a picture when I'm back in a few days.

On chalk stripes, I think a wider distance between the stripes looks best, although I am not a big stripe aficionado to begin with. Also, I know I am in the minority, but the thought of 18oz flannel as a suit makes me sweat. It it will take is a couple block walk or slight under air conditioned room for me to lose my mind.

I prefer the width of the normal Fox navy chalkstripe:

What's the fabric for the trousers please? Looks great
