The good ol' 0516 navy blue.

It looks much much darker and much more evenly colored than the high twist navy (0505). I do rather like it, I wish this shade came in the high twist format.

Trini...why don't you experiment with Solaro via an odd trouser?

This is not a half-bad idea.

Or perhaps an odd vest...I just couldn't pull them off as trousers, but that's just me.

solaro odd trousers are not a good idea, IMO. The suit is "quirky" but works, pants only would look as out of place as a Solaro sportcoat.

Count me as one of the people who doesn't like Solaro. It also strikes me as the kind of suit you'd get after you've already got 8 or 10.

    The Solaro dream is over.

Time to revisit the spring/summer suitings thread.

The problem with Solaro is that it wears hot but has a summer time look. So it's really only good for clear spring days or unusually cool summer days.

The list of first shot at Solaro ties?

I saw a suit of Solaro in progress this week and that's probably a good description. It's tough to wrap my head around it.

well, in the middle of August, nothing runs cool. Fresco, linen, whatever, you are going to be hot. I think Solaro is perfect for May/June - Sept/Oct months. The fact that so many here dislike it is only making my resolve that much stronger. Solaro and I will succeed.

You lead and I will follow.

    After 8-10 more suits.
