Sup gang.

Need recommendations for a blue woolen flannel with widely spaced white chalk stripes. Or a plain grey woolen flannel glen plain, without overcheck. Or anything.

Hope Manton remembers he gave me right of first refusal over his LL triple check.

The best navy chalk I ever saw was in an LL book that Steed had. Get that.

On chalk stripes, I think a wider distance between the stripes looks best, although I am not a big stripe aficionado to begin with. Also, I know I am in the minority, but the thought of 18oz flannel as a suit makes me sweat. It it will take is a couple block walk or slight under air conditioned room for me to lose my mind.

I prefer the width of the normal Fox navy chalkstripe:

I think the wider stripes are more classic...the narrower are more fashion forward.

They both have their time and their place. But if its your first striped suit...go with the classic wide.

Anyone have any experience with Dugdale Royal Classic Midnight Barathea? I'd like to know how it drapes, how soft is the handle, is it durable and how resistant wrinkles?

I'm looking to get pants made.

I have a suit in this:

I like it. Different from Minnis flannel, though. Softer and feels less sturdy. But the Minnis flannel is fairly tough. The pattern reads as solid when not up close, which makes it a little more sedate than the Prince of Wales flannel they also offer.

Has anyone used H. Lesser No. 306 8/9 oz.? My most recent Chan commission is probably the worst draping out of the 4 suits that I have. Admittedly, this could be that it's my first Chan suit where I didn't have a fitting. The other fabrics that I've used are Minnis Fresco 9/10 oz and 8/9 oz., Dugdale 9/10 oz.. I'm just wondering what other people's experiences have been with No. 306.
