I have no experience with it whatsoever...hopefully others can chime in?

It is excellent stuff. Similar to Smith's Finmeresco, but softer/drapier and feels more like a true hopsack than a fresco.

Thanks! Did you get a length of this for yourself?

I'm trying to find pics of it made up.

Some time ago. I got the not-quite-navy and had it made up as a DB suit.

Cantabrigian may have just thrown a spanner into the works with his offering of the LLBR06 LL Brisa fabric.

Lovely stuff... I don't need another blazer but could be persuaded... [IMG]

Just received samples of the Lesser superfine tropicals 8/9 oz. Of this bunch, my preference so far is the light brown PoW and the bluish grey solid. All of them have quite a lot of body given their light weight; these should work well for the depths of summer... [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

That light brown POW with the caramel overcheck is unique. That's number one for me from the list. It looks like it wouldn't work with all complexions though. I'm guessing that with a light blue shirt it should work for you though.

It'd be nice with a white shirt and brown shantung tie. I really like it. My legs would shred an 8oz cloth to bits though. I like the blue as well though.

medtech_expat, did you get to wear your Mina suit in Dormueil Tonik yet? If so, how does the cloth perform? I am considering it myself so your view would be much appreciated.

It's not finished yet, although I should taking delivery next month and will let you know. I'm also waiting on swatches of Harrisons Cape Kid and will post here when I get them.

I just ordered a jacket length of Moonbeam 36520: [IMG]

And, since no iGent is complete without a blue Donegal jacket (or maybe suit), I was eyeballing this. Has anyone heard of "Castle Tweed"? This is 80 merino wool / 20 silk. 14 oz. Feels good, but have no idea about its relative quality.

Both look great. Is the Moonbeam light beige or gray? Appears to be the former. Will you be sending these to Mina or Chan?
