Underwear *ahem* positioning - any options other than up and out?

I've noticed that the dozens of brands of underwear that are meant to be flattering of a gentleman's bulge seem to all push things forward, codpiece-style. (Like Andrew Christian.) Are there any brands or makes that allow your equipment to rest more naturally (say, to the side, in my case). I don't mind showing off a little (seems almost inevtiable, given low-rise dress pants, such as in Hugo Boss Red suits) without being obscene, but I just want to rest to the side, not look like I'm a Shakespeare character in tights.
