A lot of the people in my school wear the white shirts under.

What do you think about it?

Not a fan of wearing anything under a polo.

I don't usualy go for undershorts myself but I think it is more a matter of personal taste. I think if you do, I would go with a v-neck or something that is not going to show under the shirt.

Wearing an undershirt kind of defeats the purpose of wearing a polo shirt IMHO.

I hope a lot of people at your school know the difference between "where" and "wear".

If you prefer to wear one for comfort, or if without one you sweat or chafe, go with a fitted v-neck that does not show at the neck or mid-arm. Also, tagless. Many prefer grey over white when it comes to undershirts but this has been debated many times here.

I hate undershirts in all circumstances. Some people wear them all the time. I used to do that. But it looks like shit really.

Thanks, well I have a few RL polos but I feel like without a undershirt it looks more feminine. But I think I'll try it tomorrow

It seems a bit precious to wear a T-shirt under a polo. Who does that?

just because a polo shirt has 2 buttons on it, doesn't make it a formal shirt in any way... it's a t-shirt with buttons. so wearing an undershirt, and then presumably not washing the polo, it's ignorant and IMHO a pretty low class / poorly educated sort of thing to do... you only really see this on high schoolers or clueless entry level workers (often ethnic :embar:).

    (I know, I know)

anyway kiddo, short answer, don't do it, and look at everyone else who does with a confused disdainful look and maybe they'll get the message.

No undershirt. Or a v-neck undershirt.

Wearing an undershirt with a polo is like wearing briefs under boxers.

Well my nipples don't show through my shirts. haha.

So today I took your advice and I will not be wearing under shirts with my polos anymore. As I saw other people with the undershirts then look at it without a undershirt I knew the people here were right.

Man, even without the thinly veiled racism this post is a master class in being a stupid asshole.

It's "ignorant" and "low-class" to wear an undershirt with a polo? Get a grip.

Off the top of my head:
    - it's a little chilly but I want my arms bare (layering)
    - don't want anyone to see wet pits (if I sweat alot)
    - don't want polo to end up with pit stains (fabric protection thanks to disposable tee underneath)
    - extra layer of odor protection (if I get extra smelly when I sweat)
    - color coordination of some sort (I wore a red tee under a white polo last Canada Day)

yeah, I was going to edit that one...

I agree it was uncalled for, but it is just what I see looking around.

I also disagree with all your reasons for doing it yourself. Seems pretty silly to me.
