Undershirt UK Recommendation?

I have always bought relatively inexpensive but white undershirts. The cotton is a nice and soft, and the fit is good, so to me they do their job. However, they always suffer from aluminium build-up after a year or two, which simply can't be removed, and I have to discard them. I have recently switched to use a more natural, aluminium-free anti-antiperspirant, and as I'm about to buy a couple more, I was wondering if anyone could recommend something better than cotton.

I've seen sports-wear type undershirts recommended but the only one I've seen specifically is Under Amour, but they seem heavily branded, I just want something plain (don't want a logo showing through under a shirt).

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Stick with cotton, this combination of plastics will certainly not do you any favours. In any event two years is a decent life for things of this quality.

Better still do without them altogether, no need for them these days.

These days? What have I missed? Please share.

My brief understanding is that these will be more friendly/breathable than plain cottons - this is at least what the reviews seem to suggest.

In either case, I've ordered a couple as a tester for a very small fee, so no real risk. I find cotton just clogs up with sweat and doesn't feel too comfortable. Sorry to have to describe that...
