This is a serious thread...although it might be kinda awkward.

What kinda underpants do you guys wear? I started buying the 2xist bikini briefs b/c they don't have excess material. I have a hard time wearing boxer-briefs b/c my jeans are too tight and they bunch up or just get all around uncomfortable. Not to mention way too hot.

Nordstrom Rack has the 2xist bikini briefs for $5/pair, but only in black and white. That's fun, I guess. But it might be cool to find some other colors sometime. I've tried other places like UniversalGear.com but it's just too gay. I don't want a thong or jockstrap.

Oh ya, regular briefs might be out too. They seem to ride really high, like...bellybutton high.

I like low-rise briefs, Jockey, FotL, whatever's cheap and has a decent waistband. I need my junk in a snug, secure environment with minimal material. I never understood the appeal of boxer briefs... the snug ones feel like unpadded bike shorts, and the looser fitting ones feel like swim trunks under my pants.

Best underwear I have ever come across are unfortunately almost impossible to buy over here, the Marks & Spencer's/St. Michaels briefs. Sold in packs of three IIRC, quite well made and comfortable. I think I mentioned this in a different thread already, come to think of it. I believe they are made in Israel, although I don't remember exactly...
Oh and I HATE boxers. Hell, even the army issue underwear back home is y-front briefs (but in a tasteful army olive green colour - seriously! You never know when you may need to run out of bed in your underwear and take cover during an air raid or something

you may like the 2(x)ist flash line as well with their briefs and trunks

also look at "rips", they make a square cut trunk that is like a low rise squared off brief that would likely fit your likes

"cin2" will also have similar product

the "puma" athletic line also has functional microfibre modern briefs and trunks similar to 2(x)ist

"isa", "caleda" and "schiesser" also make minimal trunks and low rise modern briefs (not y front tighty whities) that would fit your description but are mostly only found in europe

I like Calvin Klein's Pima Cotton Boxer Briefs. They are very comfortable.

Uniqlo does all right with a flat black knit in y fronts and knit briefs...no bunching. I got a multicolored set of knit boxers from hermanos estebecorena in BA but they ride up on the legs; design problem (the boxers not my legs). I have a pinstriped pair of briefs from H&M that is excellent for board meetings

I just bought a set of 3 2xist briefs at $10/per on sale (I wish I had discount stores around here). After hearing the rave reviews, I'm left a little unimpressed. I'm usually a boxer brief guy, but am annoyed by lines under tight jeans. The 2xist are relatively comfortable (I can currently feel the band around my leg), but the ass is a little saggy.

I have some pretty low and short Uniqlo boxer briefs that fit snug enough. I saw some low rise boxers in a foreign mens magazine but can not find them in the US.

Right now I am wearing H&M Superman print briefs. They're not very comfortable.

My favorite is Gap UK, though. The boxer briefs are shorter in the legs, almost a square cut that fits nicely and retains its shape.

I have some 2xist briefs that are a little uncomfortable, and a 2xist Y-back thong that I wear when I'm working.
