Is there anyone other than Nom de Guerre that makes clothes with those metal fireman-style hook closures? It seems silly to have to pay $500 for a plain hoodie just because it has some hooks on the front instead of a zipper, but maybe that's where we are in menswear right now. Alternatively, does anyone know of any other brands/items featuring unorthodox closure methods? For instance, I recall a couple of designers doing blazers that were held closed by chains -- can't think of who they were (possibly McQueen??) but that was a cool detail. Dsquared did some weird adjustable closures on pants & jackets that I don't know how to describe so I found a picture which I've added below. And I have a Trovata jacket with a wire hook front closure (over top of a zipper), which I really like, also pictured below. Has anyone else been struck by a cool closure method before? What/who was it? (Oops, I meant to put this in SW&D.... Maybe MC members have some thoughts? Discussion seems to be a little livelier over here anyway.) Actual fireman's jacket:

Dsquared (this is on pants but they used the same thing on full-length jackets; I think it looks really cool):
