I absolutely love them! They are a casual jacket, though. They aren't supposed to look quite so structured. I'd say head down to Brooks Brothers and try one on!

I have a Canali Kei jacket which is completely unstructured. The issue I've had with the jacket involves the slope of my shoulders. I used to play rugby when I was younger and built up my traps and levators. As a result, I have very sloped shoulders that form this sort of shape _/ \\_

Because there is no structure in the KEi jacket shoulder the jacket often forms a weird pagoda like shape where the neck muscle hits the top of my deltoid. The fabric is a heavy flannel so that may contribute to the weird shape. Phat Guido had similar issues with his shoulders, although not as pronounced.

Not all body types work with the unstructured shoulder. However, BB has a return policy so you should be OK if the jacket does not work.

They won't hold up as well as a properly canvassed jacket.

This isn't necessarily a bad thing though right? A fully cheesed-up double burger with bacon will last longer than a single cheeseburger without bacon. But sometimes one just wants a cheeseburger, for its casual elegance.

If the jacket is not a properly canvassed jacket, it will fray faster?

It will bore the owner sooner?

It will be more likely to receive permanent stains?

Help me out -- I don't understand how a proper canvas means the jacket will last longer.

I have Jacket that I would call semi-unconstructed.
It is fully lined and canvased but the shoulders were
so unpadded that my tailor put in sleeveheads, or increased
them for a smoother line. I love the jacket and in five years
of occasional wear, it looks new.
