I'm in Vancouver, Canada right now and heard about this place: http://www.theumbrellashop.com/ which I plan on checking out tomorrow. Perhaps the most useful purchase I will make while I am here. Has anyone had any experience or know of any other umbrella shops?

I've been to their Granville Island retail shop. It's very impressive: wide range of umbrellas and very friendly staff.

Just got back from that shop, it is seriously the hilite of the trip. I will take pics of the umbrellas we got. My relatives think I'm a bit strange for getting so excited, if only they knew.

Enjoy it. The weather has been awful lately so I'm sure it will get a lot of good use.

Hopefully your umbrella won't get a tear and collapse: remember to always shake off slush!
