I must of bought these 6 years ago and have just found them going through the wardrobe,

i wanted other peoples (ideally fron the UK) opinion on these shoes for casual wear,

what times do you feel these shoes are suitable to wear and what with? chinos, jeans, shirt, jumper, etc

i was intending to look for some dark brown boat shoes to wear casually - to the pub, shops, restuarant, etc
but i might save the money if these are a suitable replacement for the near future?

only concern i have about these is they are quite a bright tan (gold'y) colour

are these shoes suitable for day time casual wear? would you wear them to the supermarket/round a friends/shopping
- if so , what colours would you wear them with?
ì must say they are comfortable to walk in

** i used to wear them out at night going to bars and nightclubs so they are quite tatty i know
- im 25 by the way

thanks

They're casual shoes to be worn with a casual outfit (jeans or chinos as you note). In terms of colours, blue jeans/chinos, khaki chinos etc

That said, they don't look hugely appealing to me and are not something I would wear myself.

I think they'd look good with some 3/4 length trousers and a checked shirt, probably suitable to going to lunch and shopping :)

Sorry yin, but nothing's going to look good with 3/4 length trousers.

The shoes aren't to my taste but they're not 'pointing at in the streets and laughing'. Sure they'll be fine with most casual clobber.

okay,

what about the types of tops and which colour tops to wear with these shoes & chinos/jeans?

if these shoes were the only ones available for you today, what would you wear with them?

thanks

Blue chinos, Belt (same colour of your shoes), blue shirt.

Don't do this. Matching a rather loud shoe color with a belt in a very similar color usually looks bad. The belt should be subdued brown or another non-black neutral. Also, a mostly blue shirt with blue pants usually looks bad. With such colorful shoes, the shirt probably should have a saturated color or bold pattern (checked shirt, yes, perhaps), so that most of the attention is on the upper body.
