[UK] Separate jackets in different lengths on the high street (for under £100)

I would like to buy a couple of separate jackets/blazers/sport coats. Budget is tight, so under £100 per jacket, although I'd be interested to hear about options a little above this for future reference. I am aware of the compromises that come at this price point in terms of construction and artifical blends. I have additional budget for post-purchase alterations.

I'm after something with texture, so a tweed, hopsack, maybe some cottons or linens. Not seersucker, not cord, and definitely not fine worsted. Colour-wise probably a navy, then maybe an oatmeal or a mid-green. A lot of my separate trousers are mid grey, so grey jackets are not of much interest.

I have found a few jackets in fabrics I like. Uniqlo have a nice navy tweed (wool blend) for £70, but it is short! This has emerged as a theme in a lot of high street shops. They only offer size options by chest measurement, and not jacket length. The fashion seems to be for short jackets that come nowhere near covering the buttocks. Plus I'm six foot tall, so they would look even more ridiculous on me.

So does anyone know any (UK) shops selling this kind of jacket but with the option of S/R/L?

As you can appreciate SALES are now coming to an end now so S/R/L are harder to find but try John Lewis, House of Fraser and TKMaxx

It's a real problem for taller people as so many brands only offer regular sizing and with today's short style that means they don't go far below your belt. I think Marks and Spencer and Next offer long sizes. Another option would be second-hand on ebay. Older regular sizes were much longer so if you know your measurements, you might be able to find some good quality stuff within your budget.

Have you considered second hand or vintage? It can be a torturous search but, at that price, you’re likely to get something far better quality and with a decent length.

Yeah, I've been trawling ebay but it's a bit laborious because most sellers don't list measurements, only whatever size information the label has, so I have to contact them individually and hope they know how to use a measuring tape.

There's also a glut of suit jackets being sold without trousers, which makes finding the separate blazers like a needle in a haystack at such a low price point.

If this Covid situation improves over the coming months I'll try and get back out to vintage and charity shops, but I'm not 100% comfortable doing that at the moment.

Vintage here in UK is generally a lot poorer than in the states too.

I suppose it also depends what type of tailoring you’re after. Are you looking for a particular style, Neapolitan, heavily structured British or American sack jacket for example?

I don't mind some structure, but generally speaking something more neapolitan in style is preferable, which obviously adds an additional limit at the bottom end of the market. The flexibility in terms of fabric type is helping though. There's a lot of unstructured cotton out there, and some wool blends in a looser weave, so I'm bound to find something eventually.
