My mate swears by these to run in but I've yet to be convinced. Never seen them on the street and hope I never do.

Is that desirable? The only occasion I can think of that's possibly appropriate for these is shaking one's fist furiously at the pale-lime debris of the Statue of Liberty. And that doesn't happen a lot.
