Will you be watching UFC 83 this Saturday night? Card doesn't look that great, but the grudge match between Matt Serra and Georges St. Pierre should be worth watching. Can Serra shock the world a second time? Or will GSP further his claim to being the top P4P fighter in the world?

GSP should breeze through him. He got caught last time fair-n-square, but I would have to say if Serra threw that punch at him 100 times, he'd land it once. As luck would have it, that 'once' happened to be in his title shot, so more power to him.

GSP by knockout, early in the second.

I like Serra but come on, I'd give GSP 2:1 odds over Moses.

I'd say GSP by TKO or straight KO, depending on the first 2-3 minutes of the fight. If Serra lands anything substantial in that time, I think that GSP will be emotionally shaken.

The big difference between this fight and the Matt Hughes fight is that Matt doesn't have the tools to rock GSP on his feet, and that gave GSP time to find his fight. Serra is not going to give him that time, and GSP will need to be rearing to go from the bell.

By the way, according to the commercials for the fight, GSP says Serra "crossed the line". Anyone care to enlighten me on what happened?

Serra made some comments hyping up the fight which could be considered racist against canadians.

GSP for the win!!!! Imo, he's the best fighter in UFC, maybe in the entire world, as well as one of the absolute nicest and most respectful. His striking, submissions, take down defense, and wrestling are all AMAZINGGGGGG. He trains wrestling with the Canadian Olympic team, and they said he's easily on par with them in terms of skill, and personally I don't even think his wrestling is the best part of his game.

Also, while Serra is an ok fighter, let's be serious, he is not championship material. Imo he got pretty luck with that punch that KO'd GSP. I also think Hughes would destroy Serra if/when that fight happens. I mean look at Serra's record... He's been beat by Shonie Carter (crap), Din Thomas (mediocre), and Karo Parysian (pretty good, but not championship material). His win column is pretty lackluster too, with the only big name he's beaten being GSP. Honestly I don't even know why he was in the position to fight for the belt in the first place.

If Serra wins I think it will be mostly due to luck. I mean come on, there isn't 1 single thing that Serra is better at than GSP. No matter where this fight goes GSP will have the advantage.

After the first fight, GSP said he was injured going into the fight and would not have gone ahead with it if he was fighting Matt Hughes. Serra replied, "Frenchy, go have a glass of red wine and watch a hockey game."

I have GSP by TKO in the second. I expect that GSP will shoot for a takedown within the first minute of the fight and soften Serra up with some ground and pound. That would be the intelligent game plan. If GSP attempts to prove he is the superior striker by standing with Serra, he will be making a huge mistake.

He is a superior striker, but yes, I agree, that would be dumb. Pretty much everyone can be caught, which is the reason I think that this fight is actually more dangerous for GSP than the Hughes fight. I don't think that Hughes could seriously hurt GSP on his feet.

About Serra - no, I don't think that he is as good as GSP, but you know, fighters come into their prime. Anderson Silva didn't seem invincible until he became the champ, and I would argue that he, and not GSP, is the best pound for pound fighter in the UFC. He has knockout power in and out of the clinch, and his wrestling (especially his takedown defense) is great. Not to mention that he is has great submissions (I mean, the dude is a Nogueira trained BJJ black belt. You don't get much better than that.) And he also seems mentally stronger than GSP.

GSP is a pretty amazing specimen though, no question.
