anyone went to the U2 concert? does the opening act start at 7pm? or U2 start at 7pm? how long is the opening band performance?

You have to get their to see the opening band, muse. They are widely regarded as the best live band in the world. Of course this isnt their stage or setup, but the only band that could upstage them, imo, would be U2. So your going to a pretty damn good show.

Looks like muse goes on about 7, plays an 8-10 song set for an hour or so then I would assume U2 on at 8:30 or 9.

I was at the show two nights ago. U2 came on at around 9 I believe and ended at 11. Muse was very good as well

The opening act, Muse, starts at 7pm and U2 comes on at around 9pm. Go for both if you can - Muse is pretty good. Give yourself a lot of time before and after the concert as there have been some crazy stories about the traffic to and fro. I was at the Giants stadium for the concert and it was ridiculous.
