For those of us who actually cared to click on the unpromising title of this thread and who remember those ambiguous glory halcyon days when wallpaper was more than a Robb Report for the young...

Brule is apparently launching a business magazine for affluent consumers who like luxury goods.

Not quite as gripping-sounding a concept as "the stuff that surrounds you"... Will it outlive his relaunched "Swiss" airline? Or will it go to some Jordi Labanda gallery in the sky...

PS... It's going to be called Monocle.

Ugghh. I was wondering what had happened to him post-Wallpaper.

Good to know that the new mag will be "printed on expensive paper."

I've read his column in the FT from time to time. I sort of like it, but I also often find it faddish and effete.

Monocle? Young and affluent? Sounds old and stodgy.

What an amateur-ish looking website.

Given that name, it should have used Otto Dix's superb lesbian-chic portrait of Sylvia von Harden as some sort of a mascot.
