Two piece tie?

I came across a Dior tie at one of the discount stores in Chicago that was essentially in two pieces. The ends had these sort of elastic bands that hooked together, I assume for adjusting the length. I've never seen this before, what is the purpose of this construction, and is there a name for it? (Sorry don't have a pic, hope that description is useful.)

Sounds like it coudl be a zip tie or something of that casual sort, not something i'd go for.

To be clear, it wasn't a pre-knotted tie. I suppose I can stop in and snap a pic tomorrow.

Every time I read one of your posts I wish for a larger version of the
icon. You neither answered his question (either of the two) nor added anything else of any help.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has noticed his inability to post anything even remotely relevant to the thread he is in.

How do you feel about spending money on non-essential goods during the Covid-19 crisis?

  • I don't want to spend money at a time of economic uncertainty, even if I could afford it.

  • I feel compelled to spend to help small businesses that are struggling.

  • I reduced my budget for non-essential goods and I'm not spending at the moment.

  • Not much has changed for me and I'm still buying stuff I can't afford.
