I was just at a second hand store looking around and found two nice new ties for $0.50 each, so for $1 I got these two.... A Jean-Louis Scherrer "Paris" tie (below). It looked expensive, but when I Googled the brand, I couldn't find much. What do you think? It's a little busy, but for $0.50 I said why not haha I have a very limited tie collection. 3" wide.

The second one I bought is 100% silk and hand made in Italy, which raised an eyebrow for me (haha thanks to this site, I look a lot harder at the materials and where the product was made). I can't make out the brand name...some like Carlo Col***dr or something like that. I can't make out the *** . It's about 2.35" wide

Yeah dude, you got totally ripped off. I doubt you'll get enough wearings out of them for them to pay off. Well, maybe you can flip them on ebay to break even.

I was thinking you got totally ripped off -- but then I saw you live in Canada and that with the exchange rate being what it is, the ties really cost only 89 cents in real money -- which is cool. So, no, you did OK.

Yup, All Carlo Col***dr ties are 2.35 inches wide and are highly tasteful and desirable.

The previous posters are all jealous.
