1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

    There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Two museum shows on June-August 2016

    I am not sure if members are really interested in clothes as high aesthetics, but I would like to draw attention to two museum exhibitions of the very highest quality.

    First, the most obvious, is at the current Metropolitan Museum of Art: "manus x machina". I have already seen this twice. No picture can summarise the scope of the selection, but since Issey Miyake is my personal favorite, I select of one of his most important designs:


    The second exhibition is on in Antwerpen, at the MoMu. This is just as amazing as the one at the Met, but focused around Balenciaga, relating some of his historic designs to living designers (Yamamoto, Comme, Miyake, Demeulemeester, Margiela, etc.).
