Two-eyelet blucher recommendation

I'm looking for a brown two-eyelet blucher to be worn in a business casual setting with khaki and navy cotton chinos. The AE Lambert is no longer available, and the C&J Dartmouth is not available in brown. I mention these two specifically because they are a bit on the conservative side, and are not overly elongated, which is what I'm after. Thanks.

They're surprisingly hard to find. I don't know why the English makers seem to offer this style in black calf or brown suede, but so rarely in brown calf. Edward Green or Vass are easy enough solutions but the price is steep. C&J offers the Stanley handgrade, but that's still pricier than the ones you mentioned and I'm not sure where it's available. There's the Cheaney Matt at Herring Shoes but I'm not crazy about that last.

I recently read these are called "Prince *something* Derbys," but I don't remember the name of the Prince. Not Prince Blucher, who apparently invented the overall style in the first place.

They are usually called Gibsons.

Stefano Bemer used to have a bunch (Spring/Summer '09) in all sorts of shades of brown, shown here. While they might not be readily available anymore he might be willing to have them produced for you.

This is a different model but I am sure that he has brown options available:

Good luck

Thanks for the suggestions. The AS gibsons would be perfect, but I don't think theyre made anymore. Looks like the options are pretty non-existent in the <$500 range. Strange that everyone stopped making these at once.

I will check out the Cheaneys; thanks Baron.

Thoughts on these Ferragamo Lorianos? Are they too dark/dressy to be worn with khaki chinos?\\

They actually look pretty good, I like the pebble grain.

Those Sargent Gibsons were the ****.

Not a two eye, but Magnanni has a reasonably priced 3 eye in what looks like a museum finish that might fit your needs. It's called the Brujas.

Crockett & Jones had one in last season's catalogue, though it was never on the website. It was the same style as the AS Bourne. I got the John Lobb Tamar a few years back. The AE Lambert was probably the worst executed example I've seen. I'm not really fond of the Ferragamos either. The English do this style best.
