I picked up a pair of Harris Tweed jackets. I am in between sizes with a 38.5" chest and a 35" waist so I got a 38s and 40s. The shoulders of the 40 feel too big, but I like the color. The shoulders end about 1/2" over the bony point in my shoulder. I am not sure if sizing down would be beneficial as the blue is a slimmer cut than the green which is more traditional cut. Ideally I'd keep these jackets for a long while, and I just get more dad bod as I grow old so maybe having it a bit bigger isn't so bad?

The arm length look good. I assume as I wear them it'll bunch up slightly around the elbow by about 1/4" . Should I bother tailoring the sleeves up a bit or wear them out and see?

The blue jacket (first 2 pictures) looks too big in the shoulders. The lighter jacket fits you better. I think the jacket sleeves are the right length; it's your shirt sleeves that are too short.

They do bunch up in the sleeves a bit, if I pull them down it looks better, it's not a proper dress shirt though and the sleeves are just a bit shorter in length

Thanks for the feedback, I will return the blue one and size it down

The lighter colored jacket looks every nice on you and it goes with the pants too. The dark colored jacket would also be ok when adjusted. You can use the size of the light colored own to adjust it to make it easier.
