I like the idea of a Harris Tweed tie - there are different weights of Harris Tweed woven - go for the lightest an it might work.

I've got a couple of Harris Tweed ties and like them a lot - a bow would be a fun addition.

Just in case you're unaware Harris Tweed aren't a manufacturer http://www.harristweed.org/

Hi ManofKent, yes i was aware thanks. I noticed that www.harristweedandknitwear.co.uk would be able to supply the tweed material for said project. In the interim I decided to try a houndstooth tweed bow from Cordial Churchman as they look really nice and exactly what i was looking for, should look nice with my white tux for an up coming wedding i'm involved in.

I thought I'd tell you guys that I did get those Harris Tweed bow ties made up for Tenor Clef and posted a picture on my website. He sent me some tweed he acquired from a vintage clothing dealer. I also made him a patch harris tweed scarf which is plenty stylish and warm. What do you think? http://ellielaveer.wordpress.com/201...tweed-scarves/
