Just a quick question: does Century 21 carry tuxedos? thanks.

They usually carry a standard collection of notched and fused junk but then will have the odd Brioni, Gucci, Barbera and such.

Thanks Tomasso, that's exactly what I wanted to know.

They have a number of Zegna and some other Italian designer tuxes on sale, as of a few days ago.

Union Square, or Lower Manhattan?

Is there a differnce in quality between the stores? I notice there are three of them in Jersey too. We'll be in NYC this weekend and right over in Jersey the next so I have both options.

Downtown. I wasn't aware of another one.

EDIT: Oh well. See above. Anyway, across from Ground Zero. It's the only one I've been in anywhere in the world, although I understand there are now a couple of branches.

Oh yeah, sorry, I'm confusing my discounters.

There's supposed to be a Century 21 somewhere in Brooklyn, at least there was one years ago, but I never got out there. I have no idea if it's still there.

It's still listed on their Web site. Maybe one in NJ too?

Last week, they had a lot of Armani tuxes for around $500-600. It likely qualifies as the fused and notched junk. (Although maybe slightly less junk.)

6/2 DB? Are they worth checking out? Where is the Brooklyn store?

Yes 6/2 double breasted. Worth it all depends on you, but I think $250 for a tux (though I believe it is at best half canvas) is a pretty good price. Nice wool. Fit is a little loose.

C21 in Brooklyn is in Bay Ridge, right off the R train. They may have the same in Manhattan, but I don't know.
