Are patent leather tuxedo shoes with bows still popular these days?

They're not popular, but it's the proper shoes to wear with formal attire.

They're the correct footwear for usage with black tie, but very unfortunately rare these days. If you have the means to obtain a pair and have the occasion to wear them, please do. Anything to keep it alive.

Many thanks to all. You are correct. Pumps is the correct terminology. I just didn't want to offend anyone. My cousin is getting married on 6/4. Although I am not in the wedding I have been asked to wear a black tuxedo. Personally, I believe that they are smart and look wonderful with a tuxedo.

Best regards,

What's offensive about calling them pumps?
