I went in for my initial fitting for a tux over the weekend, the impetus for the purchase is my wedding, though I'm hoping I'll get a wear or two out of it each year (another SF member had a completed tux in the store, after seeing it, I'm excited for mine). Anyways, I'm now in the market for a shoe, looking to spend under $200 or so (and have Nordstrom Rack, Off 5th, BB outlet, and Johnston & Murphy outlet in my area, so I'm thinking it should be doable). The thing is, and thats why I'm asking this question, I'd prefer to get a shoe that I could wear with a suit as well (which wouldn't be the case with patent leather or pumps). At the same time, since its my own wedding, I'm wondering if patent/pumps are a must? What is the collective wisdom?
