Tuxedo "odd" jacket?

I got a tuxedo jacket I like a lot from a thrift shop - fits well and looks good.

There are no matching pants. If I get pants from another source, will that be OK since they are both black? Or will it look too different?

Will look too different, do not attempt.

Unless its a textured black jacket then you can just use normal tuxedo pants with it. Meaning it was intended to be worn as a odd dinner jacket.
