I bought an Indochino Tuxedo for college wear, and it is getting the job done, but easily the worst thing about it is the low quality buttons. They are horrible plastic and molded in a such away that sharp edges of plastic are constantly rubbing against the button's own string.
My safest bet would be new satin covered buttons, but I was wondering if I could get away with a black horn button? or maybe a very dark smoked mother of pearl? That seems like maybe a cool change of pace. Do you guys think these two, second options would be breaking the rules a little too much?
What are your opinions on buttons other than satin covered ones? and do you kind folks know of any online sellers of quality satin covered buttons, or these other types of dark buttons, if they're thought to be suitable.
Here is one website I've found, but I can't really speak to their quality.
