tuxedo button stance

On my suits the button stance is just below my natural waist. I purchased a shawl tuxedo and I'm curious about if the button stance is right or too low. The button sits almost directly on my navel. It leads to a very deep V but also almost feels imbalanced from what I am used to in my suits. That may just be because I am used to how my suit buttons. Is a button point on the navel within reason for a single button tuxedo? Am I splitting hairs or is my tuxedo button point aggressively low? Considering how much I spent on it I'm starting to second guess my decision and am trying to educate myself to whether I am within proper style or took too aggressive a stance with this purchase.

Any advice or guidance is appreciated

Thanks

That does sound like a pretty low buttoning point, but it’s hard to say anything more than that without pictures.

The camera is too low but the buttoning point looks fine to me from this angle.

I don't think the buttoning point is too low, but as mentioned, the angle is tough. However, I do think you want to let the waist out a bit on that coat
