So I know this will be ultra wierd but I have a question that I would appreciate input on:
What do you think of a guy tucking jeans into his boots? And I don't mean like horrible military style boots. Like some really nice Frye or Fluevog boots or something. For example, i'm thinking some darker slim-fit jeans tucked into these boots: http://www.fluevog.com/code/?w=attri...&colourID=2153 with a dark brown sweater or nice peacoat or something. Personally I like the look of tucking jeans into boots.
Just a thought. I know most guys don't dress like this, but..... gotta buck the trend :)

I thought tucking your jeans (or other trousers) into your boots went out of style about the time Tom Mix bought it!

If you ride a motorcycle or a horse, or are female, I think it's a good look.

It's not cool right now. It may be cool again in a while. If you do it now you may be a trendsetter.

The problem is that if you do it and you aren't in a rock band, it's always going to look like you're trying to look like you're in a rock band... unless the total value of all the clothes you're wearing is over $2000, and then the people who know that they're worth that much will look at you and say 'Hey, it's maybe a new look.'

How's that for an analysis? : )

you'll get very little love on this board for that look. i asked a similar question re: john lobb boots and was told, in pretty much no uncertain terms, no.

i feel your pain. i'm still lusting after the lobbs.

A common look in the 60's and 70's which I wore too. I was much younger then but if you are under 30 why not?

Acceptable in certain parts of Texas with certain kinds of cowboy boots. I do it anyway when riding my bike - better than having to clean chain grease off. Had a guy in a car a few weeks ago roll down his window and yell "Hey boss, what happened to your horse?" Told him I ate it.

Not a good look unless you have a specific (functional) need to do the tucking.

I have a pair of MTM western boots that cost me more than my first car cost, those boots, including the stitching on the boot shaft are a work of art, that really needs to be seen to be appreciated. I also have a pair of Wesco Harness boots that were worn a lot riding my Harley. However, I have yet to tuck my trouser legs into either pair. Alas, that look is past but, there were those in my HOG chapter that did tuck their trousers into there boots! Perhaps you just need an iron horse to go with those boots?
