Trying to see what goes good with these boots

Alright so I found these boots (pictured) and they comfortable, brown, and bottom line is i like them a helluva lot. Problem is that I go to the library pretty often. Here & there around town. Get coffee with a girl or two I'll meet probably too fancy for that), and doing things like that and am now wondering if I need to lose the boots or start wearing button ups with 'em.

What do you all think & how good or bad are just the white & blue tees with them

Those boots have a workwear vibe. Avoid any shirts you'd wear with a suit. Skew towards shirts with texture - oxford button downs are about as formal as you'd want, but flannel, things with texture are better.

Avoid anything slick or fancy - anything that makes you think of a special event, or "going on" is a bad combo

It's a casual boot, so it's fine with tees. Also fine with casual button downs.
