Trying this again: chain stitching in Chicago?

Just moved to Chicago and looking for a denim shop that does chain stitched hems. Used to use Self Edge in LA, and could always send stuff to them in NY, LA or SF, but would love to find someone local. Thanks.

Yea, so far nobody seems to know. One of the guys at Self Edge in LA said that he'd never heard of anywhere outside of NY, SF and LA having chain stitching machines, but I just find that so hard to believe, especially given Chicago's size. Hopefully someone will have an answer. Honestly, I'd even settle for somewhere that doesn't chain stitch but can still do a proper jeans hem (that is rolled properly and the right width).

There's chain stitching in Bangkok, so Chicago's got to have it, yeah? There's a decent denim shop named Mild Blend in Wicker Park; give 'em a call. If not call these guys and ask 'em if they have any local customers. Or befriend a Columbia student who has access to the fashion lab where a chain stitch machine is. If you're on the North Shore these guys claim to have a machine.
