Totally agree. And have to say. Like it a lot with the contrasting tongueThat Java waxed flesh is a homerun..I have pair as well and it is just a killer boot.
Hey guys looking for some advice - not Truman related, but need some eyes on this please -
Got these John Lofgren Combat boots which I Love but noticed more of a gap between the upper leather and the welt only on the right boot at the tip. It's only more noticeable because the left boot is perfect. Is this normal/within standard boot making? Everything else about the book is great.. Just haven't noticed on my other boots
thanks in advance guys.

You could just take the eraser-end of a pencil and (gently) work that back. I do it with the handle of a small well brush.
Definitely no biggie - enjoy your boots!
That's even better - thanks for next time!Beat me to it...no biggie and I use the handle side of an all metal butter knife
Redwing sells a pretty good one http://www.redwingheritage.com/us/U...s/insole-leather-w-foam-96356#productDetails1 Is is a bit thicker than the one in Truman boots, a lot more flexible, and less slick. If I were to replace the insert does anyone have any recommendations on a quality leather instep?
