^ I think it may be a slight distortion due to the angle? Perhaps one boot is slightly in front of the other or more at the forefront..

The photo is at an angle...look at the wall behind them. If you go from the end of the right cap toe where it meets and run it across then you can see it is at an angle. But that is bonkers how it appears it all lines up.. I would def think it is the photo for it to be that extreme.

You'll have to excuse my photo skills, the boots are not flush with the wall. Here is a better picture.

One is definitely shorter than the other but the size difference is not enough to bother me.

Hey guys looking for some advice - not Truman related, but need some eyes on this please -

Got these John Lofgren Combat boots which I Love but noticed more of a gap between the upper leather and the welt only on the right boot at the tip. It's only more noticeable because the left boot is perfect. Is this normal/within standard boot making? Everything else about the book is great.. Just haven't noticed on my other boots

thanks in advance guys.

I'm pretty sure that's nothing to worry about. It honestly looks completely fine.

You could just take the eraser-end of a pencil and (gently) work that back. I do it with the handle of a small well brush.

Definitely no biggie - enjoy your boots!

Beat me to it...no biggie and I use the handle side of an all metal butter knife

Wearing the brown nut dublin this friday. Three months in and really enjoying these boots. However, I don’t like the cheapo insert. It’s super thin and is really slick. Sometimes my foot is slipping around inside. Maybe it just needs more wear and sweat and grime in there!

If I were to replace the insert does anyone have any recommendations on a quality leather instep?
